American automotive safety laws and regulations have kept many fast and exciting cars from being sold in the country. For instance, the “chicken tax” prevents Toyota from selling the Hilux pickup in the U.S., and the American preference for larger SUVs over wagons and small hatchbacks means some cool cars just aren’t financially practical to sell here. However, there are still exciting performance cars available that come with traditional internal combustion engines and manual transmissions; you just need to know where to look. Manual gearboxes have been a key feature in some of the best-performance cars throughout the…

In a note published Monday, the Wall Street firm said the earnings outlook for companies has been substantially lowered. It notes that “the hurdle rate has come down for Q3, suggesting the bar for surprises is lower.” However, even with this reduced hurdle, the overall expectation for year-over-year EPS growth in Q3 has been cut from 8% a few months ago to just 4%. Particularly noteworthy is…

Image source: Getty Images While there are a lot of growth stocks in the FTSE 250, the index is also home to some terrific-income-focused opportunities. The self-storage operator doesn’t currently offer the most explosive yield. After all, a payout of 3.5% is pretty much on par with the FTSE 100 right now. But, providing the firm continues its track record of expanding shareholder payouts, that might change significantly in the long run. And with a…
